Desk
There are two components in the RiskWin framework that are used to organize the positions taken by the user. The
first component is the Portfolio and the second component is the Desk.
The Positions created by the user are either assigned to Actual Portfolios or aggregated in
Synthetic Portfolios.
These Actual and Synthetic Portfolios can be assigned to Desks to best
represent how the user views the overall operations.
For example, the Desks could be identified by business function, geographic
location of operations, or by name of the person responsible for the Portfolios
assigned to the Desk.
A Desk is specified as a unique name. It can be used in Synthetic Portfolios for aggregating positions by selecting all positions in all Actual Portfolios
assigned to the specified desk.
