Precedence for Creating Components

Once the components to be used for the initial layout have been identified, it is important that they are created in the appropriate order. The order for creating components can be briefly outlined as follows:

Credit Rating
Counterparty
Desk
Portfolio
Default Currency
Default Exchange Rate Structure
Default Sovereign Yield Curve
Default World State

The above list of components are sufficient to start capturing positions in Currency and valuing them at the Default World State. To add positions in other Securities, it is necessary to define these Securities and the associated World Variables they require. The order for these additional components is as follows:
