Add From File

This function enables a user to load all Actual Positions into a portfolio from an ASCII file that has been created with the Store To File command.

The procedure is used after a Load From File command in order to continue the aggregation of actual positions from a number of different users into one database for analysis.

It is important to remember that only actual positions are expected to be in the file. Therefore, if the securities referenced by the data in the file are not in the current database, errors will be generated. This procedure is recommended only for trading operations that maintain a consistent database among all the users.

As always, it is recommended that a backup copy of the current database be made, before proceeding with this operation.
